A steadfast servant to Saltville and a loyal friend to the Museum.
Carl Rickman was a longtime supporter of the Museum of the Middle Appalachians and faithfully served on the Board of the Saltville Foundation for more than twenty years. A proud graduate of R.B. Worthy High School and Virginia Tech (’71), Carl built a distinguished career as a Certified Public Accountant. Just as notable was his generous service to his church—First Christian Church, Allison Gap—and to numerous community organizations where his leadership and kindness were felt by many.
Carl’s steady presence, warm smile, and willingness to help made him a pillar in Saltville. The Museum is deeply grateful for his faithful support and the lasting legacy he leaves with our staff, volunteers, and neighbors.
“Carl’s life was a testimony of faith, service, and quiet leadership.”
