Winter Wonderland 2021 Seeking Sponsors

Winter Wonderland 2021 – Museum of the Middle Appalachians

MOMA’s annual Winter Wonderland is Seeking Sponsors for the Holiday season!

Christmas is a few weeks away and comes faster than you think. The Museum of the Middle Appalachians in Saltville, VA, is getting ready for the 15th annual Winter Wonderland of Christmas Trees. Civic organizations, churches, businesses, industries, offices, schools, individuals, etc., are invited to sponsor a tree or wreath to display in the Museum’s meeting rooms. No entry fee or judging. Just a happy Christmas experience.

Trees can be symbolic of the organization or business or decorated in a traditional holiday theme. Decorations can be whimsical, unique, or a memorial to an individual or event. Sponsors must provide their tree, stand, skirt, extension cord, decorations, and any items under the tree. Sponsors can also display wreaths decorated with a holiday theme. Please have hardware on the wreaths and ready to hang. Other Christmas-themed vignettes, collections, etc., may be used as space allows.

Sponsors can set up trees, wreaths, and displays beginning November 7, 2021, to open November 21 for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Spaces will are to be given on a first-come-first-served basis. Call the Museum to arrange a set-up time after 4 PM. Thanks to the incredible support and participation in the past, Winter Wonderland gets bigger and better every year. Our Museum displayed Thirty-seven trees, wreaths, nativity, villages, a cookie jar collection, and more in 2020.

The 2021 event is listed on the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s website as their Holiday Lights destination. So make plans to be a part of this beautiful gift to the community by sponsoring a tree.
