Dr. Chris Widga and Dr. Blaine Schubert will present a program on their current paleontological research in the Saltville Valley. Saltville fossils are an active part of paleontological research and are helping to train the next generation of paleontologists. This talk will review the most recent developments, including the age of the fossil-bearing deposits, recovery of mastodon DNA, 3D scanning and printing efforts, and more!
